February 13, (THEWILL) – Senate President Godswill Akpabio on Tuesday, swore in Prof. Anthony Ani and two other lawmakers elected during the runoff/by-elections held on February 3, 2024.
Professor Ani is an All Progressives Congress (APC)member representing Ebonyi South Senatorial district. The other two senators are Prince Pam Mwadkon, of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Plateau North and Mustapha Musa of the APC, Yobe East.
Senate’s Clerk Chinedu Akubueze administered the oath of office and oath of allegiance to the new senators at the directive of the Senate President.
They were subsequently led to their respective seats after the swearing-in by Sergeant-At-Arms.
With the three new Senators, the APC maintained 59 seats, PDP, 37; LP, 7; NNPP, 2; SDP, 2; APGA, 1 and ADP, 1.
