January 12, (THEWILL) – Super Falcons’ forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, is the newest member of the FIFPro Global Player Council.

In order to ensure that viewpoints from men’s and women’s football as well as different leagues from around the world are heard, the FIFPro Global Player Council serves as a forum for active players with international experience.

The striker, who has excelled for Club Atlético de Madrid Féminas, joined the council alongside two other African athletes. The 23-year-old Nigerian, Enez Mango from Kenya, and Marshall Munetsi from Stade de Reims bring the total number of players on the council to 34.

Speaking on the occasion of her inclusion in the Council, Ajibade said: “It’s important that the voices of players are heard. I’m looking forward to using my platform to help players in Africa and beyond.”

Lucy Bronze, a 31-year-old female player for Barcelona Femini, Giorgio Chiellini, Saki Kumagai, and Nicolas Tagliafico are all members of the council.
