SAN FRANCISCO, August 16, (THEWILL) – Dr. Obadiah Mailafia, a former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, has been summoned for another round of questioning by the Department of State Services (DSS), a few days after he was grilled for over 7 hours and released.
THEWILL recalls that Mailafia was questioned after he claimed during a radio interview that a serving governor from one of the northern states is a Boko Haram kingpin, a claim he has since said is untrue.
Mailafia shared his invitation in a WhatsApp message Sunday, saying he stands firmly with a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Ghali Umar Na’Abba, who will has also been summoned by the DSS.
“We stand firmly with Comrade the Rt. Hon. Ghali Na’Abba. Solidarity forever!
“Comrades kindly be notified that the Men in Black have invited me for a ‘chat’ yet again. I’m to appear before them at the Jos Command HQ of DSS at 12.00 noon today Monday. Solidarity forever!” he wrote.
Na’Abba is also scheduled to be with the DSS later on Monday.
