August 02, (THEWILL) – Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, and the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajo, are among the personalities who will grace the capacity building/training workshop on economic reporting organised by the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Benue State Council.
A release signed by the Chapel’s Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Antswen, in Makurdi, on Thursday, indicated that Governor Alia, the special guest of honour, will present an address at the ceremony.
According to the release, Dr. Terna Francis, Director General, Benue State Education Quality Assurance Agency, and Hon, Stephen Numbeve, State Coordinator of Rural Access Agriculture Marketing Project (RAAMP), will present goodwill messages.
Others are Isaac Tiza Imojime, the Hon. Commissioner for Works and Housing, and Barr. Fidelis Mnyim, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice and Public Order.
It listed the Keynote address/lead paper presenter as Dr. Raymond Asemakaha, the MD/CEO of the Benue Investment and Property Company (BIPC), on the topic: “Financial Reporting: What the Media Needs to Know”, adding that the second paper presentation: “Sustaining Government Media Relationship in the 21st Century”, will be delivered by Sir Tersoo Kula, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
The release said the third paper presentation: “Developmental Journalism vs Reactionary Journalism”, will be delivered by Dr. Daniel Chile.
While the Chapel Chairman, Emmanuel Antswen, will give the welcome speech at the event billed to hold at the BIPC Guest House, North Bank Makurdi, on Friday, the Chapel Secretary, Hon. Titus Atondo, will give the vote of thanks.
About thirty members of the Correspondents’ Chapel will be in attendance at the event.
