June 24, (THEWILL) – On Monday, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, in Abeokuta, hosted a meeting with his counterparts in the Southern part of the country.
The meeting was held at the Presidential Lodge, Ibara Housing in Abeokuta, on Monday afternoon.
Although THEWILL cannot immediately confirm the agenda of the meeting, governors in attendance included Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Alex Otti of Abia State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Ademola Adeleke of Osun and Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State.
Others who attended were Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State, Bassey Otu of Cross River, Imo State Deputy Governor Chinyere Ekomaru, Delta State Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme and Ondo State Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami.
Lagos Governor Sanwo-Olu confirmed the meeting in a post on his Facebook page.
“I am presently in Abeokuta, Ogun State, for a meeting with fellow governors from the Southern Governors Forum to discuss issues impacting our region and Nigeria as a whole. The Southern Governors’ Forum serves as the collective body for the 17 governors from the South-West, South-South and South-East geopolitical zones of Nigeria”, he wrote.
