Wamakko Applauds Buhari On Intra-state Road Construction In Sokoto

December 28, (THEWILL) – The Chairman, Senate Committee on Defense, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has commended the Federal Government for awarding the contracts for the construction of the 25kms Dange-Danchadi-Bodinga road linking Sokoto-Gusau and Sokoto-Yauri roads.

In a statement issued by Bashar Abubakar, Special Assistant on Media, Wamakko expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the road project, describing it as the most invaluable gesture that is timely.

According to the former Governor of Sokoto State, the road would positively impact the lives of the people of the state considering its immense socio-economic benefits.

He further thanked the Federal Government for approving the dualisation of the Sokoto-Gusau highway.

Wamakko, however, called on the benefiting communities to cooperate with the construction firm for the smooth implementation of the project according to its specifications.

The Director of the Highways construction and Rehabilitation Department of the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, Engr. F. N Esan, has ordered the Engineers concerned to commence the project with effect and ensure its completion.
