BEVERLY HILLS, July 5, (THEWILL) – Militant group, Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), says it has blown up pipelines belonging to Chevron and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).
The group made this known in a brief statement released by Mudoch Agbinibo, the group’s Spokesman.
“At 10pm Niger Delta Avengers blew up Chevron Well 10 close to Otunana flow station,” he said.
“Other attacks were carried out at 11:15pm. Nigerdelta Avengers blow up NPDC Manifold close to Banta and two PPMC/NNPC crude oil trunk Lines.”
THEWILL recalls that the Twitter account used by the group for announcing its attacks was blocked on Monday.
However, it seems the group is not deterred and has indeed resumed hostilities after a two-week ceasefire, which led to an increase in oil production.
