April 14, (THEWILL) – Following Man City’s passage to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals, Jack Grealish is alleged to have had a ‘physical altercation’ in the tunnel with Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic.
The incident happened after a heated game at the Wanda Metropolitano. At the conclusion of the second leg of the quarter-final, Felipe’s temper flared and he was sent off.
Grealish, who was an unused substitute on the night, had a spat with Savic during the incident that led to Felipe’s dismissal, with CCTV showing the defender pulling Grealish’s hair on the touchline after the two had exchanged words.
The spat between the two continued after the final whistle, with the two players involved in an incident in the tunnel, so that eight police officers had to be dispatched to intervene.
Full-back for Atletico Madrid Sime Vrsaljko was also involved in the commotion. Footage has emerged of the defender throwing an object in the tunnel at Man City’s backroom personnel.
