Peter Okoye Of PSquare Slammed With N5bn Suit By Sports Agency

September 17, (THEWILL) – Peter Okoye, aka Mr P, and one half of the singing duo of PSquare, is currently locked in a legal tussle with a sports agency, West Africa States Development Forum.

Peter is locked in horns with WAYSDF, over his absence at the WAYSDF & EYC Championship League Inauguration in Asaba, Delta State, on June 16, 2019.

The sports agency is also aggrieved over Okoye’s alleged refusal to refund the part payment of his appearance fee, N2.8 million.

According to Hilma Charles, Director of Youths and Sports and a board member of WAYSDF, Okoye refused to show up for the event, hence portraying the organisers in a bad light as other music acts attended the event.

In a suit filed in 2020 at the High Court of Anambra State in the Idimili Judicial Division, Holden at Ogidi, the organisation is demanding N5 billion as damages from Okoye for bringing the event into disrepute.
