The petition read on Wednesday, during plenary, presided over by the Speaker, Olamide Oladiji, said the money was approved when Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu was still recuperating in Germany.

Aiyedatiwa was alleged to have ordered the N300 million to be sourced from the N2 billion Palliative fund, recently given by the Federal government to the state, to cushion the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy.

Majority leader of the House said in compliance with section 188 of the 1999 constitution, urged the Assembly to write the Deputy Governor over the allegation. This was seconded by a lawmaker representing Akoko South West 2, Tope Agbulu.

The House unanimously voted to write the Deputy Governor, Aiyedatiwa.

The notice of motion was read by the Clerk of the House.
