April 10, (THEWILL) – Napoli’s star forward, Victor Osimhen, remains uncertain to feature in their upcoming UEFA Champions League match against AC Milan.
The Nigerian striker’s complete recuperation is not certain, having trained independently from the squad and in the gym. The Naples-based team will visit San Siro Stadium to avenge their defeat to the Red and Blacks in the domestic league fixture on Wednesday.
However, Osimhen has already missed two games for Napoli, against AC Milan and US Lecce, owing to discomfort in his left abductor since returning from the international break duties for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The former LOSC Lille forward has been instrumental in Napoli’s pursuit of the Scudetto this season and their qualification for the quarter-finals of the UCL. Nevertheless, the club reports that he may not be available for Stefano Pioli’s team in their third game since the end of the international break.
Fans of the I Partenopei side will be hoping his clinical form in front of goal, which has seen him become a top contender for the highest goalscorer award, will continue as they strive for their first Serie A title since the 1989/1990 season and first ever UCL trophy.
