July 30, (THEWILL) – As Nigeria prepare for the Commonwealth games in Birmingham, the team Nigeria has been unveiled and urged to go and conquer.

The President of the Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Dr Daniel Igali, stated this while unveiling the Nigeria Wrestling team for the competition.

He said that during the previous tournament, the team made Nigeria proud by winning medals as the best performing federation and urged the 2022 team to do more.

He used the opportunity to give kudos to the Honourable Minister of Sports, Mr Sunday Dare, for his untiring support to Nigeria Wrestling Federation and the Bayelsa state governor, Senator Douye Diri and Deputy governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, for their usual support to the wrestlers that have been in training camps for two weeks, pledging that the team is poised to make the state government and Nigeria proud at the Commonwealth Games, 2022, in Birmingham.

While, the member representing Southern Ijaw Constituency 3, Hon Moses Marlon and Hon Tare Porri, Chairman House Committee on Sports and Information urged the athletes to take the bull by the horn by ensuring that they do not disappoint the confidence reposed on them and come home victorious by putting in their best. That what is expected of them is victory and that would be celebrated on arrival.

They said as a state with miracle governor, Senator Douye Diri, who has been supportive of the athletes they are going with, miracle and victory is assured.
