BEVERLY HILLS, February 12, (THEWILL) – Ned Nwoko, billionaire businessman and husband of actress Regina Daniells, has alarted of plans to assassinate him.
The former lawmaker announced this during a press briefing in Abuja yesterday.
He stated that the assassination plot was connected with an expanse of land in his community in Delta where he was building a university.
Nwoko also disclosed that the tussle also had to do with who became the next traditional ruler of his community, Idumuje Ugboko, in Delta State.
According to Nwoko, the asasination attempt was exposed by one Ossy Bosah who was a prison inmate at Kuje Prison in Abuja.
According to the former lawmaker, Bosah was privileged to get wind of the plan from fellow inmates.
After the exposition of the plot, Nwoko stated that Bosah’s life was threatened through text messages and he died mysteriously after he was released from prison.
He stated that an autopsy was being conducted to ascertain the cause of Bosah’s death.
Nwoko said: “Bosah was able to get the information on social media and the attention of my wife, Regina, was drawn to it. I then reported the matter to the police and Department of State Security (DSS) and they went and interviewed the inmates involved.
“The inmates mentioned the name of one businessman who deals in the oil and gas sector as the master minder.”
