Allegri Focuses On Securing Juve Serie A Place After Point-Deduction

February 06, (THEWILL) – Massimiliano Allegri has stated that Juventus’s main goal this season is to reach 40 points and secure their place in Serie A for the next season.

This comes after the club was handed a 15-point deduction for their transfer dealings last month. The deduction has put the Bianconeri in 13th place, 10 points clear of the bottom three but 15 points behind Lazio who are in fourth place.

Juventus’ recent struggles have been evident in their recent league games, as they have only managed to pick up one point in their last three games. Allegri is cautious about his hopes for the rest of the season and is focusing on the immediate goal of reaching 40 points. He stated that setting goals beyond that is “unthinkable” at this time.

The club will have a tough task ahead of them when they face Salernitana on Tuesday, as a win for the 16th-placed team would put them ahead of Juventus on the table.

The club will be without key players such as Paul Pogba and Leonardo Bonucci, but Allegri is hopeful that striker Dusan Vlahovic can help the team climb the table. Vlahovic is yet to score this year but is in good physical shape and Allegri is hopeful that he will be able to find the back of the net soon.
