SAN FRANCISCO, August 21, (THEWILL) – The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has commenced probe into a jet accident at the General Aviation Terminal of the Lagos Airport.

On Friday morning, a private charter airline, King Air Jet, rammed into a fence while the pilot was reparking it. The accident was said to have occurred around 10 am at a tarmac beside Bristow Helicopters.

However, no one was aboard the jet and the pilot suffered no injury.

A spokesman for the Accident Investigation Bureau, Tunji Oketumbi, confirmed the accident.

Oketumbi said the bureau had sent its investigators to assess the level of damage as of press time.

“We have been notified of an accident that occurred at the local airport and our investigators have gone there to commence investigations,” he added.
