April 16, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actresses, Faithia Williams and Remi Oshodi, have put their differences aside and embraced peace.
The actresses have decided to sheath their swords and are now on speaking terms.
The two were sighted dancing joyfully and chatting during Omolara Olanrewaju Bakare’s 40th birthday party last week. Bakare is a politician. Guests, who were happy that the two had reconciled rained naira notes on them as they danced to Wasiu Ayinde Marshal’s music.
The two once clashed at the burial ceremony of London-based businessman and philanthropist, Bamidele Omosehin’s father in 2020.
Remi had left her seat and walked up to Faithia’s table and slapped the actress in the face. Pandemonium broke out as other guests rushed to separate them. The actresses literally engaged in a show of shame, exchanging blows and almost tearing each other’s clothes at the party. Remi had claimed that Faithia said unprintable things about her and she had looked for an opportunity to put her in her place.
Before things turned sour between them, Remi and Faithia were very close. The former was instrumental to the latter’s relationship with her estranged husband, Saheed Balogun. She even housed them when they had accommodation challenges, but had to throw them out because of their incessant quarrels.
Remi revealed that she had no idea why Faithia hated her so much and said ugly things about her. Some of their fans had maintained that Faithia might be romantically linked with Omosehin, whom Remi regarded as her younger brother.
