… One Person taken Into Custody
SAN FRANCISCO, June 28, (THEWILL) – At least 11 persons were killed on Friday night when a bomb ripped through a brothel in Bauchi State.
Witnesses told THEWILL that about 28 persons were wounded in the blast which targeted the Peoples Hotel located in the Bayan Garin district of Bauchi metropolis.
The district is populated with bars and restaurants.
The blast which occurred around 9.20pm sent patrons and residents of the area into a frenzy.
Those wounded were transported to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi for treatment.
The Bauchi State Police Commissioner, Mr. Lawal Shehu told journalists that one person has been taken into custody over the attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the Boko Haram, a terrorist group operating mainly in northern Nigeria has orchestrated several deadly attacks that has killed over 5, 000 persons.
